Frank Lampard responds to rumours of James Corden’s involvement in Chelsea appointment

Reports claimed that Lampard was recommended to Todd Boehly by the TV star

Chelsea interim boss Frank Lampard was forced to brush aside a question about TV star James Corden ahead of the Blues’ Champions League quarter final against Real Madrid. Lampard has returned to Stamford Bridge until the end of the season, replacing Graham Potter who was sacked earlier this month. Following his return, reports suggested that Corden played a role in the return of Lampard to the club after speaking to co-owner Todd Boehly – a close friend of the TV personality – and informing him that the former Everton boss would be a good fit for the club.
