Former St. Pat’s star Chris Forrester has been compared to a Manchester United stalwart

It's safe to say that Chris Forrester is rated just a little bit by Peterborough boss Graham Westley. Forrester made the move from St. Pat's to Peterborough in the summer and he's not wilted one bit under the extra pressure of playing in League One. The 22-year-old has made 13 appearances since his transfer and scored two goals in the process but his new manager is full of praise for all facets of Forrester's game and has compared him to one of Manchester United's longest serving players. Westley, speaking to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, said: "You look at the likes of Carrick, an intelligent player, reads the game brilliantly well, owns, keeps and passes the ball in the right way - he (Forrester) has got so many of the characteristics." You'd think that being put alongside a Premier League calibre player would have been laudatory enough for Forrester but Posh boss Westley continued to say that he could see Forrester surpassing Carrick as he matures. "You look at the stats from last weekend's game (against Doncaster), he was up near the 70-pass mark," said Westley. "I think he's got a lot more in him as he learns the diamond shape and improves his physical condition he'll get on the ball even more. "We've seen what he can do in terms of arriving in the box and scoring goals, we've seen his passing, he's such a composed individual, he's a cracking player."
