Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Mark Kinsella has taken his first steps into full-time management in the SSE Airtricty league after being named interim Drogheda United manager this afternoon.
The former Charlton and Aston Villa player was assistant to Johnny McDonnell who resigned on Sunday morning after the 4-1 weekend loss to Limerick city.
The 43-year-old will take over initially until the end of the season, but he is not actually qualified to take over a team but has been given a special exemption by the FAI
