Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez are among a host of former Liverpool heroes set to return to Anfield for a one-off farewell to Reds captain Steven Gerrard.
The Liverpool legend is leaving his boyhood club to join the Los Angeles Galaxy this summer, but the club are arranging a testimonial of sorts for Gerrard, according to reports in Spanish newspaper AS.
The game is due to take place during the international break on March 29, and AS claims Gerrard has been calling former team-mates across Europe to get them involved.
Both Torres and Suarez left Liverpool in acrimonious circumstances, with Torres demanding a controversial £50million move to Chelsea in 2011 and Uruguay striker Suarez forcing a move to Barcelona in the wake of his World Cup biting scandal.
In addition to former strikers Torres and Suarez, now at Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, Gerrard is also hoping to see Pepe Reina, Javier Mascherano and his old midfield comrade Xabi Alonso back in front of the Kop fans next month.
Sounds like some team.
