If Manchester City really want to mount a serious title challenge then they need players that they can rely on to, at the very least, stay on the bloody pitch.
City's title challenge took a heavy blow with their recent 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Fernandinho spoke of his disappointment in the aftermath of that game where he stated that he hoped his side could "turn it around soon" and "be at the top as soon as possible."

We think it's safe to say that, with half the season remaining, we may well see Fernandinho surpass the Italian in this regard.

What is a further blow to City and Pep Guardiola, Fernandinho will likely receive a four-game ban for his latest indiscretion as it is his third red card in six games.
