We thought 15 minutes was pretty quick, until we hit the record books.
Dundalk's Richie Towell bagged a 15-minute hat-trick for Stephen Kenny's side, as they defeated Galway United 3-0. It was the 23-year-old Dubliner's second treble for Town in just over two years.
The former Celtic player is in a rich vein of form and told his club's website: 'The third one was a little bit special. I have been practicing my shooting over the last while, from distance and from angles so to see it come off is great and shows that the hard work is really paying off but the most important thing is that we won and have more points on the board.'
A scan of the League of Ireland records tells us Towell's hat-trick is over 740 seconds slower than the all-time record.
Jimmy O'Connor of Shelbourne rocked in three goals against Bohemians, in 1967, in two minutes, 13 seconds [133 seconds].
Here is O'Connor's hat-trick, which turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 win.
Robbie Fowler's hat-trick against Arsenal, two decades ago now, was timed at four minutes, 23 seconds.
The all-time, Guinness World Record, is a 90-second hat-trick for Tony Ross of Ross County, who did the deed against Nairn City, in 1964, at Dingwall Ross-shire. No footage of the feat exists.
Sounds like hoo-ey to us.
