FAI supporting Keane after ‘incident’ at Ireland team hotel

FAI play down alleged disturbance at Ireland team hotel involving Roy Keane

The FAI have issued a statement after an incident at the Ireland team hotel on Wednesday evening. Reports earlier suggested that an Irish team member had been involved in an altercation with a fan who had travelled to the team hotel in Portmarnock. The FAI statement insists that it was Roy Keane who called the Gardai following an 'incident involving a member of the public'. The incident came just hours before the Irish team are due to fly out to Scotland for Friday's crucial Euro 2016 qualifier in Glasgow.
