Ireland put name forward as possible FIFA World Cup 2030 host

The FAI have confirmed that they will put their name forward for a feasibility test ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Dublin will host three group games and one round 16 game at the Aviva Stadium as one of 12 UEFA EURO 2020 successful bidding cities. FAI CEO John Delaney said that the four games at Euro 2020 will act as the perfect opportunity to promote Irish football and the country and it now seems like the association will put Ireland forward as a possible host country as part of a joint bid with the home nations. https://twitter.com/FAIreland/status/1042482755647537152 An FAI statement reads:"Following recent positive discussions amongst all parties it has been agreed that the Football Association of Ireland will join the English, Irish, Welsh and Scottish FAs in conducting a feasibility review into a potential joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup."The Republic of Ireland have not qualified for a FIFA World Cup since 2002 and a successful bid could see the association qualify automatically for the biggest tournament in world football.
