Now, while Ireland did sign the Anglo-Irish Treaty in December 1921, the Civil War that tore the country apart was definitely not going on beforehand.
The glitch has been in the FAI children's guide to Euro 2016 for a number of days but was only brought to our attention, this morning, by journalist Damian Mac Con Uldah.
Others may argue that Britain were slightly more heavy-handed that merely negotiating to retain the six counties but that's another argument for another day.
