Man United and Tottenham will be on Irish TV tonight, but Arsenal and Liverpool won’t be

The two Premier Leagues will not be on TV tonight.

It's a big week for football with games across the Premier League, FA Cup and European matches happening all the way through to next week. While there are tonnes of games going on over the next few days, you might be surprised that some of the bigger ones are not on TV anywhere tonight (Wednesday, March 1). The final matches of the FA Cup 5th round will be played and three of the four games will be on TV in Ireland. Fresh from their Carabao Cup victory, Manchester United host David Moyes' troubled West Ham side at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag keeping an eye on his second trophy this season. Kicking off at 7.45 pm, the match will be shown live on Premier Sports 1 from 7 pm in Ireland. Viewers with access to ITV1 can also watch it on the UK channel. The match kicks off at 7.55 pm. Southampton host Grimsby live on ITV4 in the other FA Cup tie. There are also two Premier League games on tonight, but neither will be on TV. Top of the table Arsenal play Everton at 7.45 pm while Liverpool take on Wolves at 8 pm. Both matches were due to take place in September, however, they were postponed after the death of Queen Elizabeth. As the Arsenal vs Everton game was originally due to be played at 3 pm on a Saturday, falling within the blackout period for domestic broadcast, the match cannot be screened in the UK. The Liverpool vs Wolves game also cannot be broadcast live as it fails to fall into the 200 live matches that fit into the seven different TV packages that are agreed upon at the start of the season.
