Trap is never, ever going to retire.
The legendary Italian manager was 74 when he left the Ireland job in 2013 and now after two years of enjoying his retirement... Giovanni Trapattoni wants back in.
The BBC is reporting that Trap is one of 59 applicants to become the new Ivory Coast manager. That gives the Ivorian FA a helluva lot of choice, with managerial titans such as Dave Jones and Raymond Domenech also applying for the role.
Maybe Trapattoni got the flags of Ireland and Ivory Coast mixed up and he actually wanted to apply to become Martin O'Neill's successor. If nothing else, you have to admire the Italian's 'enthusiasmus' for football management at his age.
