"I left my 12-year old and 17-year old in the stands."
An Everton fan who spent £1,000 to watch his side play against Liverpool on Wednesday night has revealed that he left Goodison Park after just 18 minutes.
Everton were hammered by their city rivals Liverpool 4-1 after goals from Jordan Henderson, Diogo Jota and a brace from Mohamed Salah saw Jurgen Klopp's men cruise to victory.
For those that stayed and watched, they let the team know their thoughts on the game with jeers and boos directed loudly towards those on the pitch and the staff in the stands.
However, some had seen enough way before that and by the time Salah's first - Liverpool's second - found the net, that was enough for them.
Everton fan Connor was no different and despite travelling all the way from Belfast, he decided less than 20 minutes was all he could take as he left the ground - but left his two children to witness the hammering.
"It cost me £1,000 to come to one match and we had to watch that?" he told talkSPORT.
"I’m watching people on £100,000-a-week hoof the ball up the pitch? It’s disgraceful! I can coach 12-year olds to play better football than that.

The defeat has further increased the pressure on Benitez, who has failed to win any of his last eight games in charge, which currently sees the Toffees sit in 14th place - just five points clear of 18th-placed Burnley.
Director of football Marcel Brands was also greeted with criticism as he was filmed in a heated exchange with a fan over the performance on the pitch.
Everton face Arsenal in their next game on Monday 6 December in which they will look to arrest their slump in form.
