Eva Carneiro ‘rejected’ a £1.2m settlement offer from Chelsea in constructive dismissal case

Former Chelsea first team doctor Eva Carneiro turned down a £1.2m settlement offer from the club, according to court documents.

Dr Carneiro is claiming her departure from the club fits the grounds for constructive dismissal, after she was publicly criticised by then Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho for treating an injured Eden Hazard during a 2-2 draw with Swansea City last August. Before the tribunal was adjourned until 2pm on Tuesday, June 6, documents presented by Chelsea's legal team showed Dr Carneiro had been presented with "an open offer of £1.2m to settle her claims".
