€370,000 a week and Radamel Falcao is starting for Manchester United’s U21 side tonight

As if the writing wasn't already on the wall for Radamel Falcao, the fact that he's starting for Manchester United's U21s tonight speaks volumes.

Chasing a goal against Arsenal, United boss Louis van Gaal opted to use Adnan Januzaj as his last substitution rather than throw an extra striker, Falcao, on. Rather, Falcao will be lining out against a Spurs U21 side with no recognisable names. The move is obviously an attempt by the club to give the Colombian international some game time but LVG clearly doesn't trust Falcao's ability enough to risk that in a game of any importance.

It wouldn't fill the 29-year-old, who has managed just four goals since his loan move to Old Trafford, with confidence that the Red Devils have any plans of signing him to a permanent deal.
