Ireland will now join 14 other teams with Israel, Finland, Norway and Serbia all securing promotion to League B while Estonia, Slovenia and Lithuania have all been relegated to League D.
Meanwhile one of Hungary, Cyprus and Romania will also face relegation with the lowest ranked third-placed team of Nations League C set to be relegated to League D.
These were the League C teams at the start of the league ranked on their UEFA co-efficient which determine each group stage.
