BBC broadcaster goes on another foul-mouthed rant about the England team

The last time England played a small island nation it ended in humiliation for the nation that invented football, and sparked a foul-mouthed Twitter rant from Danny Baker.

The BBC broadcaster took aim at the English team, Roy Hodgson, the culture of the Premier League, Wayne Rooney and the media in a series of incredible tweets. https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/747532550491508739?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/747537834463100929?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/747703748252807170 England played their first game at Wembley on Saturday since crashing out to Iceland in the last-16 of Euro 2016. Gareth Southgate, the caretaker manager, oversaw a 2-0 victory against Malta thanks to goals from Daniel Sturridge and Dele Alli. While the victory might not seem like much of an achievement, it could be argued it represents progress for the Three Lions as the Mediterranean island actually has a larger population than Iceland. Just try telling Danny Baker that. The broadcaster's tweets during and after the game aren't anywhere near as explosive as his rant following the Iceland defeat, but he still managed to disparage former England manager Glenn Hoddle, who was working for ITV on the game, and the performance of Rooney. https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784795285021134849 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784798272724561921 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784798698052149249 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784801809001025537 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784804030207983616 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784805220928847873 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784807257624158208 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784807921137946624 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784808924780326912 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784809413164969984 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784809785858359296 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784812775751245824 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784813671268712448 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784814555901878272 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784816649602011136 https://twitter.com/prodnose/status/784816815016972291 Catch up with the latest episode of Football Friday Live right here...
