Five-time Champions League winner Cristiano Ronaldo has said that Europe's premier club competition should be named after him following Real Madrid's 3-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday.
Madrid seized their third consecutive Champions League title with a 3-1 win over the Reds with Ronaldo once again finishing the tournament as the competition's top scorer with 15 goals.
The Portuguese forward is the all-time leading scorer in European competition with 121 goals in 159 games.
The 33-year-old suggested after Madrid's latest European win that UEFA should consider renaming the tournament the CR7 Champions League.

“Who was the top-scorer once again?” he said.
“The Champions League should change and be called the CR7 Champions League.
“I have won five and I am the top goalscorer again, so I cannot be sad.”
Ronaldo indicated after the game that this year's final in Kiev may have been his last game for Real Madrid and that he will announce his future plans within the coming days.
“Now it's time to enjoy this. In the next few days I'll give the fans, who have been by my side, an answer. It's been great being at Real Madrid.
“I'll speak in the next few days. Now it's time to enjoy the moment. The future of any player isn't important. We've made history.”
