Louis van Gaal’s excuse for tonight's shock Europa league loss is likely to turn even more Manchester United fans against him.

The Dutchman saw his side slump to a bizarre 2-1 loss to FC Midtjylland and fans raged afterwards. The club sent out a strong side, but were second best for most of the 90 minutes, and perhaps could, and should have lost by more only for the heroics of Sergio Romero.
