A bizarre bargain deal.

Colin Doyle is set to join Bradford City from Blackpool after they activated a peculiar clause in his contract, according to reports in Bradford local media. Doyle, who made his sole Republic of Ireland appearance in 2007 when Steve Staunton was manager, is available for £1 following Blackpool's relegation from League One. Doyle looks set for an instant return to League One though, and Blackpool will get a pound for their captain. However, given the shoddy way the club has been run in recent years, this bizarre, detrimental clause isn't even among the worst gripes long-suffering fans will have about Blackpool's demise.
