José Mourinho could be set for a return to the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports.
The Portuguese manager hasn't worked in the Premier League since his stint at Tottenham came to an acrimonious end in 2021.
Since then, he has had a three-year spell at Italian side Roma and is currently managing at Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
However, As Marca reports that Wolves are eyeing up a big-money swoop for Mourinho as they look to steer themselves away from relegation trouble.
According to the page, the West Midlands side have made a £5m offer to Fenerbahce to sign 'The Special One.'
After a 2-1 defeat at West Ham on Monday night, Wolves remained 19th in the Premier League table on nine points.
The result has increased the pressure on manager Gary O'Neil, who has only won two matches with Wolves in their 15 league games so far this season.
Meanwhile, all isn't perfect for Mourinho in Turkey. Although Fenerbahce are second in the Turkish Süper Lig, they are six points behind their arch rivals Galatasaray following a 1-0 defeat to Besiktas in the Istanbul derby over the weekend.
Fenerbahce directors are reportedly considering Mourinho's future in charge of the club, with Wednesday's Europa League game against Athletic Club thought to be pivotal in his short-term future in Istanbul.
Mourinho signed a two-year contract with Fenerbahce in June, after he was sacked as Roma coach in January.
Last month, it was reported that the two-time Champions League winner was eyeing a return to the Premier League, and had asked to be kept up to date with developments at Newcastle United.
