Christian Benteke will undergo his medical with Liverpool today and, all things going well, sign a four-year contract with Liverpool. The Belgian striker will line out for Brendan Rodgers' side next season after they triggered the £32.5m release clause on his contract. Sky Sports report that Aston Villa and Liverpool reached an agreement over the Benteke deal on Saturday. https://twitter.com/JamesPearceEcho/status/622697508981051392 Interestingly, The Telegraph state that Liverpool will only pay £16m up front, with the other £16.5m to be paid through instalments and bonuses. Benteke has caused Liverpool untold trouble in the past, scoring five times in six games against the Reds. Villa are resigned to losing the 24-year-old but should be able to use a sizeable chunk of the transfer fee to bring in new players.
