Media training is something of a regular occurrence for footballers in 2015.

But we reckon Carlton Cole might have been sick on the day that they were taught not to call an opposition fan a c**t on Twitter. Well that's supposedly what he did after a Tottenham fan wound him right up after West Ham threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Mauricio Pochettino's side last week. According to The Telegraph, Spurs fan Stuart Hardy tweeted at the Hammers forward saying: “Hi @CarltonCole1 when your own team-mates don’t kick the ball out when you’re lying injured for 2 mins, you think it’s time to call it a day?” Cole allegedly responded with a succinct but clear "F off you c**." Well that comment has landed the 31-year-old striker in hot water after he was charged by the FA today for the comment which "was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper and/or brings the game into disrepute." The player has until Thursday evening to respond.
