Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has appeared in court as the manager faces up to five years in prison for tax evasion.
The 65-year-old appeared in court in Spain to testify against accusations of tax evasion.
The manager said he "never thought about committing fraud".
The Los Blancos manager is accused of failing to pay €1m (£830,000) in tax on the salary earned during his first tenure as Madrid manager between 2013 and 2015.
The former Chelsea and Everton manager re-joined Real back in 2021.
Prosecutors want a prison term of four years and nine months as well as fine of €3.2m (£2.7m).
The accusation says he only paid tax on his Real Madrid salary without paying it on image rights.
Ancelotti told the Provincial Court of Madrid that "for me, everything was in order."
The Italian said he was offered a set salary and left the structure of it to his financial advisors.
He said: "I thought it was quite normal because at that time all the players and the previous coach had [done the same]."
"For coaches [image rights] don't mean the same as they do for players because they don't sell shirts."
Ancelotti is the latest in a string of players and managers to be charged for tax evasion in Spain.
Lionel Messi was fined €252,000 in 2017 after being initially handed a 21-month prison sentence, while Cristiano Ronaldo accepted an €18.8m fine in 2019.
José Mourinho was hit with a €2.2m fine for tax charges during his time as Real Madrid manager from 2011/12.
