Portugal fell to a shock 2-0 defeat against Cape Verde last night and half the footballing world is refusing to believe it actually happened.

Portugal were without Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepé [Pepé!] but were still expected to swat the minnows aside. We say minnows but Cape Verde are ranked 38th in the world, 28 places above Ireland.
