Caoimhín Kelleher will likely get another lengthy run of games between the posts for Liverpool as Arne Slot has confirmed that the hamstring injury which Alisson Becker suffered during yesterday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace will keep him out for several weeks.
Speaking after the match at Selhurst Park, Slot clarified: "Unfortunately Ali will not be with us in those (Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Leverkusen) matches I assume, if I saw how he walked off the pitch.
"What we do know is if somebody walks off the pitch like that, I don't expect him to see him in the Brazil squad or playing the first game back after the international break," he added.
"We have to wait and see, but it is going to take a few weeks I assume for him to be back. I think it is [his hamstring]."
Virgil van Dijk said of his team-mate: "Alisson's injury doesn't look good. It looks like a hamstring injury which was already bothering him, and from which he recovered."
Kelleher was absent from Liverpool’s matchday squad through illness for the trip to the capital, so instead former St Patrick's Athletic keeper Vitezslav Jaros made his club debut coming on for the injured Brazilian for the last ten minutes of the game.
Liverpool are top of the Premier League table with 18 points in seven games after a Diogo Jota strike in the ninth minute secured three points for the travelling side.
