James McClean looks set to earn his 50^th cap for Ireland against Mexico on Thursday.

He’s a man that loves playing for his country, needing no extra motivation when donning the green jersey. He’s hit the headlines this week for his peach of a strike or for how candidly he spoke about playing for Ireland. But through all this, he took a few minutes of his day to speak to the FAI YouTube channel to recollect on his time playing for the boys in green as well as doing a mastermind style quiz with the special topic being…James McClean.

“It’s a proud moment for myself,” said McLean “For my family, even my friends and people like that considering I made (my debut)… a few weeks short of my 23^rd birthday. “To get 50 caps in five years is a good achievement and hopefully get the 50^th away and aim towards getting as many as I can.”
