Wales are in the semi-finals of Euro 2016, we repeat WALES are in the semi-finals.
Nobody (except perhaps Gareth Bale) gave them a chance before the competition kicked off, but Chris Coleman's side have combined an effective system, one truly world class player and an absolutely unwavering team spirit to make history for their country.
All that stands between them and the final at the Stade de France is Portugal, who somehow still haven't won a game in normal time, and while Wales will be missing Aaron Ramsey - arguably one of the best players in the tournament so far - they should be confident of beating a Portuguese team that hasn't always been convincing.
As Leicester City have emphatically shown us in last season's Premier League, possession isn't everything in football, and goals from Ashley Williams, Hal Robson-Kanu and Sam Vokes gave Wales a history-making 3-1 victory over Belgium, the highest ranked European side, despite them seeing less of the ball overall.
The exact possession breakdown when the final whistle blew showed that Wales had 48% of the ball to Belgium's 52%. Now, if you've been paying attention to the news recently you'll know that those percentages were also what separated the Leave and Remain voters in the EU referendum. 48% opted to stay in the union, while a majority of 52% chose to take Britain out.
This, predictably, amused quite a few people on social media.
