Days after his brother took control at Valencia on a temporary basis, the odds on Gary Neville becoming the next boss of managerless Fulham have been slashed.
Bookies have cut odds to 4/1 for the current England coach to take over the reins at Craven Cottage after the London club, who sit 13th in the Championship, got rid of manager Kit Symons.
Neville currently also works as a pundit for Sky Sports alongside Jamie Carragher as well as being one of the high-profile owners of Salford City.
But he has emerged as one of the front runners for the Fulham job behind favourites Mark Warburton and Dick Advocaat.
If Neville did take the job it would be his first step into management after several years working on the England coaching staff under Roy Hodgson.
The England manager thinks highly of Neville, and said earlier this year: “I think he’s a very good coach now. He’ll become an even better coach with experience. He’ll enjoy working with players.
“I think players will enjoy working with him. He’ll become a very fine manager in time.”
