Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke has reported that former Premier League striker Lys Mousset has agreed a deal to join Bohemians.
The 28-year-old has represented France U21s, and he played for Bournemouth from 2016-2019, before signing for Sheffield United for a then club-record fee of €10 million.
He has been on trial at Dublin club Bohs, and played a behind-closed-doors friendly last week, playing 60 minutes and scoring a goal.
Mousset scored nine goals in 53 games for the Blades and was sent on loan and then sold to Bochum. Following a further downturn in form, he was loaned out to French second-division side Nimes.
Bohs are in need of reinforcements up front, with both Filip Piszczek and James Akintunde having left the club.
In an exclusive with SportsJOE, Gypsies midfielder Adam McDonnell spoke highly of the Frenchman.
He said: "He played the game against Drogheda yesterday, he was in with us for the week.
"It only got out yesterday, he obviously played and someone must have seen him and recognised him.
"He played yesterday, he done well, he's been in with us the last week, it hadn't got out but now there's articles everywhere about it, so I don't really know what else to say about it.
"You can see him in training, he's been at that level [Premier League].
"He hasn't played in a couple of years himself so it's about getting him fit.
"But he's been in, he's been a gent, he's a good fella.
"It just got out yesterday.... I was getting messages everywhere asking if it was true."
