"I don't know who's making that noise but Alan Shearer is in the commentary gantry."
The BBC's coverage of Liverpool versus Wolverhampton Wanderers was interrupted on Tuesday night by what appeared to be sounds from a pornographic film playing in the studio.
Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker was attempting to introduce Alan Shearer, who was on commentary duty for the FA Cup third-round replay at Molineux when he was interrupted by the noise.
"I don't know who's making that noise but Alan Shearer is in the commentary gantry," Lineker awkwardly joked, appearing to not know where the sounds were coming from.

Pundit Danny Murphy was also interrupted.

It transpired that someone had played a prank on the BBC pundits by taping an old mobile phone, which played the audio, to the back of the set.
Lineker found the funny side of it.
