It seemed that 15-year-old Norwegian sensation Martin Odegaard had his pick of Premier League clubs with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all keel on the Stromsgodet midfielder.
Well he's gone and rejected the whole lot of them in favour of a move to Bayern Munich.
According to reports from Germany this morning, the prodigy will be unveiled as a Bayern player tomorrow, to mark his 16th birthday.
The attack-minded player had been on a tour of Europe in recent weeks, training with Liverpool, Arsenal and Ajax but he has his heart set on a move to the Bundesliga champions.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently told Bild that the club were "working hard and I think we have a good chance," and added that he thought Odegaard was "the talent of the century."
Odegaard made history in October when he became the youngest player to play in a European Championship qualifier when he played for Norway at just 15 years and 300 days.
