Ayr United goalkeeper Aidan McAdams has been banned for two matches for throwing toilet roll at Kilmarnock fans. The incident occurred in October during the Ayrshire derby between Ayr and Kilmarnock at Somerset Park. After a fiercely contested 88 minutes, it appeared that the game was heading for a goalless draw - before the away side were awarded a dramatic last-minute penalty. Oli Shaw stepped up to take the spot-kick, converting the penalty with ease. His goal sent the Railway End into frenzy and a blue flare was thrown onto the pitch - but it wasn't the only thing that was launched onto the pitch. The visiting supporters also thew toilet roll onto the field, which landed near Ayr shot-stopper McAdams. Frustrated with both the goal and the actions of the Kilmarnock fans, the former Rangers reserve team goalkeeper threw the toilet roll back at the away fans, leading to him receiving a citation from the compliance officer. "Aidan is a boy of impeccable character who has done something after a last minute penalty winner scored in the first league Ayrshire derby at Somerset in 28 years. "But we will accept the decision and move on."

Ayr will be required to name a youth-team keeper from their academy on the bench for Saturday's (4 December) clash at Cappielow, with Charlie Albinson set to start in between the sticks. Related links:
