Asking price for Germany defender has Arsenal and Manchester United fans excited

This was meant to be the transfer window where Premier League clubs would pay massively over the odds for anyone and everyone.

Sure, the new TV deal has seen some over inflated prices. Not naming any names. Except Andros Townsend. And Brad Smith. And Sadio Mane. But it has also seen a few clubs pick up a bargain or two. Ilkay Gundogan for £20m feels like nothing when you consider what the former Borussia Dortmund man has achieved, and now it looks like one of Gundogan's German international colleagues could be available for a similar price.
