Anthony Stokes appears to have signed for a club in Greece

Less than two weeks after his Hibernian contract was terminated due to disciplinary issues, Anthony Stokes has found himself a new club. The Dublin born 29-year-old has agreed a deal to join the Athens based club Apollon Smyrni FC, who are currently sitting in 14th in the League table. Stokes had been linked with moves to their rivals Panathinaikos, as well as a shock move to Bolton Wanderers, however the Greek club's website broke the news today that he would be joining their ranks. Stokes, no stranger to disciplinary issues has had two contracts terminated in the last six months, from both Blackburn and Hibernian and his career really is nearing the point of no return should this venture not work out for him.
