Martial took the art of time wasting to a whole new level.
Manchester United fans will have grown to love Anthony Martial even more after he was spotted telling a ballboy to slow down in order to waste a few precious seconds of time as his side closed in on victory over Liverpool on Monday night.
United secured their first three points of the season thanks to goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford before remaining resilient at the back after Mohamed Salah halved the deficit with less than 10 minutes to go.
Martial was brought on as a half time substitute for Anthony Elanga and played an important role in setting up Rashford for the second goal with a well-timed through ball.

As the clock ticked down and United looked to prevent Liverpool from scoring an equaliser, the Frenchman took matters into his own hands to slow the game down.
With the ball out of play and United winning a throw-in, Martial gave the ballboy a simple instruction to slow things down a notch.

The forward signalled with his hands for the youngster to take his time before handing the ball over to save some precious time and finally kickstart the Erik ten Hag era.
United fans also seemed to be impressed by Martial's instructions.
