Gerard Pique doesn't mess about.

The Barcelona centre-back named an incredibly strong XI when asked for his dream team by The Telegraph. The defender has played with some of the greatest players of all time so impressing the Spaniard is no mean feat. The biggest surprise in his team is likely the inclusion of a certain John Stones, who attracted interest from Chelsea in the summer before a bid of  €40million was rejected by Everton. john-stones-everton-transfer But Jose Mourinho isn't the only one who rates the 21-year-old as Pique has claimed Stones is "one of the new generation who understand football not just as a defender." Pique joins Stones and Sergio Ramos in a back three which protects Manchester United's David De Gea in goal. The Spaniard opted for a four-man midfield containing teammates Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta, as well as Paul Pogba and Cesc Fabregas. In the form that they're in, it's hard to argue with the selection of Neymar and Luis Suarez and Pique was never going to leave Lionel Messi out, was he? stones1
