Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has apologised for his reaction after he was substituted in the second-half of the club's 2-1 win over Burnley on Thursday.
Morata was replaced by Eden Hazard in the 71st minute after another frustrating night up front as he continues to endure a difficult 2018 after making a strong start to his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish international has scored just one goal from his last 10 Premier League games and his lack of productivity in front of goal was compounded after he missed a clear cut chance to extend Chelsea's lead in the second-half at Turf Moor.
Morata was substituted a short while later and was visibly frustrated at being pulled ashore by manager Antonio Conte.

The forward later apologised for his reaction but said that it brought his side good momentum into Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Southampton.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said that he was happy with Morata's performance but added that the 25-year-old will be angry that he missed a clear one-on-one chance with Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.
“Alvaro must be angry because when you have a chance to score, you have to score, especially for a striker,” said Conte.
“A lot of the time scoring changes your confidence. I think he was very angry with himself for this chance he missed.
“But I have to look at his whole performance and I am very happy even if he didn’t score.”
