Alvaro Morata responds to lashing out at being substituted

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has apologised for his reaction after he was substituted in the second-half of the club's 2-1 win over Burnley on Thursday.

Morata was replaced by Eden Hazard in the 71st minute after another frustrating night up front as he continues to endure a difficult 2018 after making a strong start to his debut season at Stamford Bridge. The Spanish international has scored just one goal from his last 10 Premier League games and his lack of productivity in front of goal was compounded after he missed a clear cut chance to extend Chelsea's lead in the second-half at Turf Moor. I think he was very angry with himself for this chance he missed. “But I have to look at his whole performance and I am very happy even if he didn’t score.”
