Anthony Martial is set to start from the left wing
Alexis Sánchez will play no part in Manchester United's clash with Juventus on Tuesday night, José Mourinho has confirmed.
In his pre-match press conference in the build up to the hotly anticipated Champions League tie, the Manchester United boss explained that "the players you saw are the players available. Nothing to hide. Alexis is out," when asked whether Sánchez was fit.
The winger came off the bench against Chelsea at the weekend but has not started United's last two games, with Anthony Martial taking his place on the left of United's attacking trident.
Sánchez has scored only four goals in 25 matches since joining United in January, with many fans growing frustrated by his lack of form, calling for Martial and Marcus Rashford to be given more chances. And Mourinho has listened.
Martial grabbed the opportunity to shine with both hands at the weekend, scoring a brace against Chelsea to turn the game on its head before the home side's late equaliser. The Frenchman is in line to start for United against Juventus in a tie that will see Cristiano Ronaldo return to the club where he spent six years.
Juventus will be without Emre Can, who joined the Italian champions on a free from Liverpool in the summer, but Juventus have no other major injury concerns.
