Aiden McGeady looks set to be able to revive his Euro 2016 hopes in the Premier League.
The Everton winger is desperate to leave Goodison Park in search of regular football, and while Championship side Leeds have registered their interest in a loan deal, the 29-year-old appears set to turn down a move to Elland Road to stay in the top flight.
“Speaking to Aiden's representatives, he may have options in the Premier League," Leeds boss Steve Evans said in the Irish Mirror.
“I do like Aiden McGeady but there has been no further chat with him in the last 10 days.
“But if he were to consider a Championship club then Leeds must be at the front of that thought process - we're the biggest, most outstanding club in the league."
Sheffield United and Blackburn are also chasing McGeady, who has not played for Everton since August and only featured for a handful of minutes in the closing games of Ireland's Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
