Ireland U21 manager Stephen Kenny got his tenure of to a winning start with a 3-0 win over Luxembourg on Sunday.

A brace from Norwich City striker Adam Idah and a goal from Neil Farrugia ensured that Kenny would get his campaign off to a winning start with Ireland next in action against Armenia in September. https://twitter.com/eirSport/status/1109884401343705091 https://twitter.com/eirSport/status/1109873187289006080 Kenny has vowed that his team will play on the front foot and take a "very positive approach" to the campaign and that he wants players to be fluid and switch positions.
"We want maximum width in our passing. (We want) our back four to make the pitch as big as we can. The rotation of the midfield is very important, we want our midfield to be fluid and to switch positions. "These are important aspects of how we play. And it's about finding combinations between full-backs and wingers, midfield players and forwards. "Just to have that connection, to practice that in training and bring it into the game on Sunday."
