A new Brentford coach might have the most ridiculous job title in football history

People talk a lot about football philosophies.
Giovanni Trapattoni was very conservative, Pep Guardiola favours a high-tempo game based on possession and almost every manager now is asked what his football philosophy is.
Championship side Brentford have taken that one step further by hiring Danish coach Flemming Pedersen as their new head of 'Football Philosophy and Player Development'. Brentford are owned by Matthew Bentham, who also owns Danish side FC Midtjylland.
They won the Danish league last year, in part because of the revolutionary approach they have taken towards football analytics. Brentford employ a similar approach and it almost saw them into the Premier League this season, as they reached the Championship playoffs.
The hiring of Pedersen is just another move in that direction but it remains to be seen what being a Head of Football Philosophy actually entails.
