The SportsJOE Win/Draw/Lose predictor game got off to a flying start, though one certain score wiped out 88.2% of people from a chance of winning the jackpot of £1,000!
Starting with the clashes that predictors got correct, 90.6% of fans predicted Man City would take three points from Brentford, which the Citizens comfortably did in a 3-0 thrashing.
88.5% rightfully also believed that Brighton would beat Wolves, with the Seagulls beating the relegated Old Gold 3-0.
During the Super Sunday clash, 77.9% of supporters thirdly correctly predicted that the Gunners would continue their title charge by defeating West Ham United, though the controversial disallowed Callum Wilson goal nearly did change it all in the last minutes of the match.
Now though, here come the shocks of the weekend.. with 88.2% of predictors all getting the same match incorrect.
Two Premier League titans in Liverpool and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield, courtesy of Enzo Fernandez's second-half free-kick cancelling out Ryan Gravenberch's stunner. A likely result, perhaps?
Only 11.8% of JOE predictor players correctly guessed the draw, as it turned out! 82.5% went for a home victory, given Chelsea's dreadful six-game losing streak going into the match.
A minority 5.8% went for the away victory, meaning the majority of predictors were OUT and could not win the jackpot of £1,000!
The second match that counted many predictors out was relegated Burnley holding Champions League elect Aston Villa to a draw.
Perhaps fatigued from a sensational night in Europe thrashing Nottingham Forest, Villa went behind early doors courtesy of a Jaidon Anthony rebound, before Zian Flemming equalised for the spirited Clarets in the second-half.
A whopping 83.4% of predictors thought that Unai Emery's European finalists would take home the three points back to Villa Park, with only 12.8% predicting the draw.
We go again next week!
