There were shots fired last night at the Washington Hilton, where Donald Trump was being hosted for the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
A 31-year-old man, armed with multiple guns and a knife, stormed a Secret Service checkpoint before he was tackled to the ground.
Among the attendees was UFC CEO Dana White, who had a surprisingly hyped up reaction to the incident.
He said: "It started getting noisy, tables started flipping over, guys running in with guns, and they were screaming 'Get down. I didn't get down. It was f--king awesome. I literally took every minute of it in, and it was a pretty crazy, unique experience."
"Guys came in looking for shooters. They came toward our table. I thought the shooter was over by us or something."
CBS senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang added further clarity to the chaotic event.
She said: "What was going through my mind is my seven-year-old daughter was there. My husband was there. My parents were there.
"On a night where we all came together to celebrate the freedoms and the First Amendment, we also have to think about how fragile they are in this country because … shootings and would-be shootings happen every day."
"And it doesn't matter if it's the White House Correspondents' Dinner or anywhere else in this country. Nobody should have to feel that way. Nobody should have to feel scared to be anywhere in a public place."
