Sky have taken a huge step in their crackdown against dodgy-box users.
The TV service issued around 200 legal letters to households in Ireland, mostly in Co. Wexford.
The letters have given an ultimatum to the users, offering them a chance to sign a document, which will resolve the matter.
As reported by the Irish Independent, the letters read: “By signing the document, you are making a legally binding promise that you will stop all involvement with IPTV and never use an IPTV service again.
“If you sign the document and keep this promise going forwards, Sky will consider the matter resolved.
“Where an individual does not engage with us following receipt of this letter, Sky is prepared to pursue legal action. This may include seeking an injunction, damages arising from the infringement and recovery of legal costs.”
Sky obtained the addresses in March, following the prosecution of Wexford man David Dunbar, who had been operating a dodgy-box service.
The report from the Independent also revealed that the letters state that Clubber TV, LOITV, GAA+ and Premier Sports have all backed Sky's actions.

A new league winner is often celebrated in most European countries for breaking the “norm” or “expectation”. For example, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 have cheekily been […]
