Events in France are closer to home than any of us can really imagine.

Paris is in the middle of lockdown after Friday night’s terror attacks that have seen the city effectively shut down after the death of 128 people, and injuries to scores more following shootings and bombings in the city.

The Government have confirmed that one Irish person was injured in last night’s multiple gun attacks in the city, while one of the most famous Irishmen residing in the city currently has tweeted to say to his thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones in the tragedy.

O’Gara is a coach with Racing Metro and their Champions Cup clash with Glasgow, which was due to go ahead today, has been postponed due to the current crisis in the city and in France.
