Wheelchair rugby star has wheels stolen in smash-and-grab raid

You really wonder what possesses some people.

Byron Green has made a public call for the thief that stole his specialist wheels, for his 'Murderball' chair, to be returned. The Canadian para rugby star had two custom wheels, valued at $2,300, stolen from is car in a smash-and-grab raid, in Vancouver, earlier this week. Green is hoping that the crook has a change of heart and returns the wheels, which he says will have little re-sale value and are hotter than a straight shot of fireball. He told CBC:
"The retail value of these things is going to be pretty small, if not nothing. But the replacement cost to me is going to be high because it's pretty specialized stuff. "I'm sure whoever took them thought they were bike wheels but they're going to be pretty disappointed to find they probably wont be able to get much for them.  "These wheels are specially designed for wheelchair rugby, they wouldn't even fit on a regular wheelchair."
Byron Green Hearteningly, members of the Canadian rugby team are getting behind Green's appeal to get his wheels back. https://twitter.com/jmoonlight12/status/712709266927321088 Let's hope he gets the wheels back and gets Murderballing [we're making this a verb] again. Snapchat
