WATCH: Super Rugby team save stranded motorist and lift car off the road

You couldn't ask for better help

Sean McMahon

We’ve all been there.

It’s pouring rain.

You’ve had a long day at work.

All you want to do is to get home as quickly as possible and forget about the stressful day which you have just experienced and then….

…BAM.

You hear a bang, you feel the vibrations through the steering wheel and you hear that repetitive rumbling.

That’s right, you have a puncture and did we mention it is raining?

An Auckland motorist had to experience this unfortunate scenario but thankfully she didn’t have to worry about calling roadside assistance or changing the tyre because, Japanese Super Rugby side, The Sunwolves, were on hand to help the stranded motorist.

According to reports, the punctured vehicle was stranded in the middle of the road and blocking traffic until the rugby team departed their team bus to lift the car to the side of the road.

The woman was clearly happy she had some help.

It’s been a good week for the Sunwolves, they won their first Super Rugby match of the season in a thrilling 21-20 victory over The Bulls in Tokyo.

However, they will face a much tougher challenge this weekend as they face The Crusaders in Christchurch.
