My God, this is a sight to see.
Jared Payne is proving, this afternoon, that his natural home is at fullback. The Irish-qualified Kiwi was one of a number of players that performed above and beyond as they battled for 60 minutes with 14 men, following CJ Stander's red card. He opened the scoring for Ireland and attacked with purpose throughout a highly fraught match. Coming from deeper, he punched some holes in the Springbok defence and put teammates into space. One of his finest contributions was this offload to Andrew Trimble that took out two South Africans in one glorious moment.

Trimble then found Rory Best and his pass to Conor Murray saw the scrum-half jink through to score a superb try.
Paddy Jackson converted to make it 20-13 then it was time to roll up the sleeves again.
That they did as a famous 26-20 triumph was soon confirmed. One of the four Irish players that bundled JP Pietersen out in the corner was none other than Payne.
