WATCH: Ian Madigan in a mankini engaging in some weird ass challenge with Adam Ashley-Cooper

You wouldn't get this on 'Against the Head'.

Ian Madigan is enjoying life in Bordeaux. It was a serious gamble for the former Leinster back to turn his back on his home province and try his hand in the Top 14. He knew there would be drawbacks to his decision, namely the likelihood Joe Schmidt would not call on him for Ireland as long as he was operating in the punishing environment of the French top flight. Sure enough, he has not featured for the international side since the June 25th defeat to the Springboks in Port Elizabeth. While his former international team-mates, under the player welfare programme, are enjoying rest periods throughout the season, Madigan will be playing week-in-week-out with Bordeaux in one of the most punishing rugby leagues in the world. So far Madigan has scored 101 points in 12 matches for Bordeaux, who lie sixth in the table. However, it seems the 27-year-old Dubliner may face greater dangers off the field than on it - judging by this video released by Canal Rugby Club, at least. We're not altogether sure what is going on in this "hazing" of Madigan and his Australian team-mate Adam Ashley-Cooper, but it involves the two lads stripping off and donning some festive mankinis before Cooper, at least, jumps in a vat of what we can only assume is cold water.

We assume Madigan won the challenge because Ashley-Cooper was wearing his own underwear under the mankini. The Dubliner, well, he was all in. So to speak. Like we said, you wouldn't get that on 'Against the Head'.
