Connacht secured the try-scoring bonus point well before half-time.
In the midst of their worst injury crisis in years, Connacht are on-course for the Champions Cup knock-out stages for the first time in their history. Pat Lam's men beat Italian outfit Zebre 66-21 and emergency outhalf John Cooney contributed 21 of their points. Cooney, who won the European Cup with Leinster in 2012, is a scrum-half by profession but he is in the No.10 jersey after bad injuries to Marnitz Boshoff and Jack Carty. Cooney raced in a fine counter-attack try to level the scores at 14-14 and then set up Tiernan O'Halloran for Connacht's fourth with an outside the boot grubber kick.
